Description
The Basara hop-up bucking, developed by da Vinci custom to maximize the performance of precision inner barrels, has been renewed as the Basara – Ikaruga.
To reduce variation in fine details, the mold was completely redesigned from the ground up. This new tooling enables the highly consistent reproduction of the distinctive W-shaped internal contact patch.
Due to the inherent characteristics of rubber materials, slight variations in dimensions and shape can occur between individual parts. For this reason, every stage of production—from mold manufacturing and molding to final inspection—is carried out entirely in Japan. Quality control is performed based on dimensional tolerances defined by ISO standards.
Due to the structure of the newly developed mold, which was adopted to maintain performance while minimizing increases in production cost, flash may be present around the outer surface of the bucking. However, no flash forms on the internal contact patch—the critical area affecting hop performance—so it has no effect on hop-up performance.
The 70° model is a high-hardness version designed for heavyweight BBs.
Compared with the 60° model, it minimizes deformation of the hop contact patch and securely holds the BB even under high hop pressure. It is ideal for heavyweight BBs and long-range setups, and is recommended for users seeking consistent performance in high-temperature conditions, such as during the summer months.
