Description
The Basara hop-up bucking, developed by da Vinci custom to maximize the performance of precision inner barrels, has been renewed as the Basara – Ikaruga.
To reduce variation in fine details, the mold was completely redesigned from the ground up. This new tooling enables the highly consistent reproduction of the distinctive W-shaped internal contact patch.
Due to the inherent characteristics of rubber materials, slight variations in dimensions and shape can occur between individual parts. For this reason, every stage of production—from mold manufacturing and molding to final inspection—is carried out entirely in Japan. Quality control is performed based on dimensional tolerances defined by ISO standards.
To maintain performance while minimizing increases in production cost, the product intentionally uses a molding structure that produces flash around the outer surface. In return, the mold is designed so that no flash forms on the internal contact patch, which is the critical area affecting hop performance. As a result, the outer flash has no effect on hop-up performance.
The 60° model is the standard hardness, designed to provide an ideal balance of ease of use and stability.
Compared with the 50° model, it reduces deformation of the contact patch while securely holding the BB. It is well suited for BBs around 0.25 g and supports a wide range of setups, from stock to lightly tuned AEGs.
It is recommended for first-time users of the Basara – Ikaruga, as well as those seeking consistent performance throughout the year.
