Description
The Industry’s Highest-Quality SUS304 Barrel — The “RAIZEN” Series
The RAIZEN barrel is manufactured from ultra-precision SUS304 stainless steel tubing produced using Japan’s renowned precision tube manufacturing technology.
It is one of the products that best represents the da Vinci custom brand.
We believe you will appreciate both the beauty and performance that embody true Made-in-Japan quality.
An Excellent Balance of Range and Grouping — 6.05mm
With an inner diameter of 6.05mm, the bore is relatively tight around a 6mm BB, yet not excessively so. This allows the BB to receive sufficient air pressure from behind while reducing the number of contacts with the inner wall of the barrel.
The result is an excellent balance between long effective range and tight grouping.
The stainless-steel construction is also highly resistant to scratches, staining, and deterioration. By maintaining a clean and consistent internal surface over a long period of use, the barrel helps provide stable and consistent performance.
One of the Most Complex Inner Barrel Designs in AEG History
When discussing the Next-Generation MP5 / EVOLT M4 inner barrel (hereafter referred to as the “EVOLT barrel”), one point cannot be overlooked: the extremely high level of machining difficulty involved.
In particular, a standard AEG barrel normally has only one locating groove used to prevent the hop-up bucking from rotating. The EVOLT barrel, however, requires four such grooves, and each individual groove demands a high degree of precision.
The tooling used to machine these areas is specialized, and accurately verifying the indexing angle after machining is particularly difficult.
At da Vinci custom, we use a proprietary inspection method to measure indexing accuracy and reproduce each angle as precisely as possible. This allows the hop-up bucking to be installed at the correct orientation with greater consistency, contributing directly to stable and high-quality hop performance.
This is an exceptionally demanding machining process, and we believe very few manufacturers go to this level of effort for this particular feature.
Front Groove Position Shifted Forward from the Second Production Lot Onward
Due to the characteristics of the machining process, greater machining accuracy can be achieved when the front groove is positioned closer to the muzzle end.
For this reason, the groove position has been shifted forward from the second production lot onward.
Carefully Designed Taper Machining for Improved Performance
As with the GUREN 2, the muzzle end is finished with our tapered machining process.
This taper allows air to escape more efficiently, helping convert the airflow into energy that propels the BB forward. At the same time, it promotes smoother airflow around the BB, contributing to improved accuracy.
Please Read Before Use
The 05 RAIZEN inner barrel for the EVOLT is, by its nature, a product that tends to increase muzzle velocity.
Although our actual testing confirmed that the results remained within the acceptable range, muzzle velocity was still on the higher side. Therefore, please make sure to measure muzzle velocity thoroughly after installation and operate the product only within a safe and legal range.
RAIZEN Inspection Standards
After polishing, each barrel undergoes an internal-diameter inspection at designated inspection points.
In particular, we physically inspect the bore to ensure that any burrs generated during machining have not affected the internal diameter. The barrel is then inspected once again visually by one of the select craftsmen entrusted with the polishing process.
Up to this stage, the inspection process is the same as that used for GUREN. However, RAIZEN is held to a stricter standard for surface roughness, and any imperfections or roughness originating from the raw material are screened much more rigorously.
The reason RAIZEN is considered our premium barrel is not only the cost of the material itself, but also the amount of time required for this selection process and the quantity of material rejected for failing to meet our standards.
For this reason, every barrel delivered to you has been carefully selected from among the finest pieces available.
Any visible machining marks that do not affect performance, such as cutter marks or tool marks, have already passed the inspections described above and have been approved by our craftsmen. You can therefore use the product with confidence.
