On December 24, 2023, an agenda item regarding the “Guren Inner Barrel Polishing Method” was raised at the quality control meeting, and we would like to report that some changes have been decided.
As of 2023, the Guren Inner Barrel undergoes a manual polishing process by craftsmen after machining. Within this polishing operation, we will slightly reduce the level of outer diameter polishing.※The inner diameter will continue to be polished as before. While traditional heavy polishing removes outer diameter scratches and dents that occur during processing, it tends to impair the overall appearance (the appearance looks rough after coating).
To maintain the affordable “Guren Brand,” we will not perform polishing to the extent that “scratches and dents” disappear but will lightly tidy up the appearance and confirm that there are no problems with the inner diameter before finalizing the product. To maintain the current price without price adjustments due to soaring material costs, we would appreciate your understanding and cooperation in reducing the defect rate and controlling labor costs. The new polishing method will be applied from the 2024 production batch onwards.
